Eye to the iPhone. It is a de facto console. I refer to the tests

In March I wrote an article saying that the iPhone and iPod were succeeding as arcade games and Nintendo (and other) have to worry about. I received more than a stick in the comments, both meneame as in this blog for it.

I suppose that this reaction is that it is not easy to convince the "hardcore" and fanboys, who do not see beyond their home console, a device that Apple was not a console at first but it is facto to all effects, you're eating ground to Nintendo and Sony.

I guess all you can convince these "hardcore" are videos like the one I put then Resident Evil 4 running on an iPhone:

Eye to the zombies that are Spanish, if you know Catalan, Basque or Madrid ...

Data on the Apple store are really impressive. 20 percent of its applications are games and there are 13,000 in the catalog. More evidence: Electronic Arts has opened a studio to make games for the iPhone at low cost, Konami is preparing a Metal Gear, PSP Go is on the same path as Apple, Nintendo DSi enhancements ... More clear water.

To see what I hide the apple pipe ...

Apple and Nintendo: Are they or are not competitive?

If anything characterizes this generation of consoles is more competition. Competition, with innovative ideas, has made the situation of a rollover. Now companies like Sony can not just navel-gazing, we must be aware of other competitors, and not just traditional, but new and Apple, which is going strong with iPhone and iPod Touch.

When Apple introduced the iPod Touch as the next great gaming platform we were all a little surprised, but time proves them right. The games are becoming the star of the Apple store because many independent developers are releasing games, some of them beautiful bill.

Nintendo certainly fears that Apple steals users, although to the gallery go to the hackneyed "are not our responsibility." The same is said of Wii Sony and Microsoft to mask the truth. Does it sound right?

I'll hide it in a pipe ...

The most interesting thing about this is that competition is pitching for Nintendo to head to the Red, from the more conservative position in the industry to one of greater acceptance of the Internet and its benefits. It's good that they are very concerned about the children, but that does not mean they should not connect their consoles to the Internet, but have to do with effective monitoring systems and good parental controls.

Moreover, the similarities between Nintendo DSi and Apple devices are many. What will make Nintendo DSi is basically what Apple has done: to open an online store with lots of games and applications. The two cameras also enable new ways to play by detecting the movement of the hands, something that Apple has also made thanks to the accelerometer ...

Apple cares more for games

Some time ago I told you that EA, among other companies, was developing games for the iPod sold in iTunes, the online music store from Apple. It seems that something is working because Apple has now registered at the patent office a new portable device for playing games.

Given the number of iPods (and iPhones) that have sold out a new gaming device makes little sense. So given a new device for making innovative game design and gameplay. Are sufficiently "crazy" for it, but what makes more sense is a return on their existing machines, rather than create new ones in a market dominated (not sure if saturated) for Nintendo DS and PSP.

Half a million iPhones sold in one week

Posted by in Apple , iPhone , Video , Video Games

Hallucinate to see that Apple has managed to put half a million iPhones in the U.S. in a weekend. It is a very high figure, but the truth is that the iPhone is an excellent machine. It is a great music player, photos, videos, telephone and, of course, games, although it also has its drawbacks.

With its high-quality touch screen (no buttons) you can do many things ... I think it's a great device for gaming. In addition there are 2 models, a 4 GB and an 8. It is large enough for big games.

In Spain, Telefónica is rumored to be the one going to take the upper hand at the end of the year. I was thinking about switch to Vodafone or any other company to get a better phone, but so I hope to see. I will not commit for 18 months if within a few I want the iPhone. Course, if not do well the conversion of euro-dollars, not adquirié at first. I did not like being ripped off by Sony with the PlayStation 3, I refuse to be ripped off Apple also.
