Best of the Hard Days Ubisoft was Avatar 3D: very impressive

This Friday I was in the presentation of Ubisoft, the Hard Days, Madrid. I had the chance to see Assassin's Creed 2, a game that I lost insurance, the new Splinter Cell, Red Steel 2 and some others, but certainly the most impressive was watching Avatar on a television compatible 3D and enjoy the 3D in all its fullness.

avatar

After get the "Ray-ban" started to hallucinate, first with a ship approaches the planet Pandora and then clean shot against the beasts of a planet that does not really know if it is a real danger or Eden.

Avatar is the film that will break new ground in mid-December and the game promises to be no typical conversion "Guarrera" from the movie, but find it hard because all video game publishers have tried to sell crap games taking advantage of the marketing of movies and now fight it is complicated. Without going any further it just happened with Terminator Salvation and Ubisoft is not blameless in this regard: not go back too ... I remember Beowulf

Avatar The game will come a bit before the movie, on October 2, and can be played as a game "normal". So to be promoted, but its graphic engine, which the guys from Ubisoft has been in development 3 years (which was used by the last Far Cry), will switch to 3D mode at any time to enjoy it even need to renew our television and buy a 3D Ready.

It is unfortunate that the 3D effect, majestic, can not be seen in screenshots or videos, so if you have occasion to see him somewhere, do not hesitate to try it. Is the next revolution in video games.

Otherwise little more I can tell you not to know. "Assassins" rather than correct, a "must have" with juicy news as the economy system, Splinter Cell is tumbling even surprised us with some new features like tagging enemies and little more than comment on Red Steel 2, which have good cell-shading graphics and take full advantage of the Wii Motion Plus.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sweeps reserve lists

Looking at the game reserve figures U.S. I can only hallucinate with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Between the Xbox 360 and PS3 and games have reserved 2,223,261 and the number will increase because we still miss several weeks for launch (10 November).

CoD: MW 2 is poised to break many records and will certainly fill the coffers of Activision Blizzard. How many of these reserves at the prestige edition with night vision goggles that cost 150 euros? It makes my hair stand like hooks ...

His figures contrast with those of Uncharted 2, also anticipated, with reserves for PS3 not reach 300,000 units. The third most anticipated U.S. appears to be Assassin's Creed 2, whose reserves amount to 384,833 units, although this time the book is divided between PS3 and Xbox.

If you have not seen the latest video from CoD: MW 2, here it is. Enjoy it:

Start the hype

After the first quarter of the year (whose best games you can vote in the sidebar on the right, in banzaiincuesta), begins to move the machinery of marketing in order to create excitement about the great games coming ahead of Christmas. As I commented the other day, Assassin's Creed 2 has kick-started with a rather cryptic video, and now we try to Konami " hypear "with PES 2010. I do not think that will improve dramatically from year to year, but if you want to get the long teeth you can read the news here .

Update: Since there are a lot of details around the new Assassin's Creed 2. Game Informer has shown a lot of information and screens of the game. seems to confirm to be held in the Renaissance, the new player can swim, use new weapons , etc.

Start promoting Assassin's Creed 2

You can visit the official website of Assassin's Creed 2 , where you will find a teaser trailer that currently provides few clues, but that leads us to think that indeed the action takes place in the renaissance or will have much to do with this historical period .

Thanks for the video. You are an open book!

I look forward to new details of the new adventure of Altair (star if ever again the Templar). Although not everyone liked it, seemed to me that Assassin's Creed game was a good bet for new ideas. It is true that not all of them were well executed, but do not think you could talk about that defrauded. In any case, it was a game that demanded a sequel shouting to refine details, give more variety to the missions and tell a new and interesting history. For now, enjoy the new video .

Chinatown Wars or the fall of a myth

I must confess something. When Take Two announced Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Chinatown Wars (Nintendo DS) I fell off the pedestal. He admired this company because, despite having the goose that lays the golden eggs with GTA, not overusing versions were not worthy of the name. Only the latest consoles and more powerful computers were able to run a video game features GTA and the rest is despised. I always thought was the correct posture and less commercial. Take Two was one of the few companies that still remained "virgins" in this sense.

Much has happened, Take Two moves in the global world and has been forced into the cloth and start creating versions "inferior" to increase sales, raise its price and out to Electronic Arts and other sharks who want to buy at a price balance.

Leo Meristation Dan Hoser, co-founder of Take Two and one of its heavyweights, says that the DS version seemed "natural" and challenging them other than they are accustomed. It is an "opportunity to do something really good," he says. I agree that Chinatown Wars can be good, but not be a GTA-blooded but take it printed on the cover.

For you an example, Ubisoft has followed a similar policy with Assassin's Creed, drawing versions for all platforms that you can imagine, but in an interview conducted exclusively Jade Raymond, producer of the game, she made it clear that the authentic experience Assassin's Creed could live only on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The other versions did not speak, nor took responsibility and admitted it or not, neither was very agree with them.

I guess in the end everyone has to enter the cloth, sooner or later, for commercial reasons. If Take Two have to go, unless it does not restrict his creative desire and commitment to quality, do so with style, innovating again.
