Google and games

Google's interest in games is becoming more evident. If long been known that they were working on systems to integrate contextual advertising in video games, are now actively promoting the inclusion of games in your own search engine, presumably to increase retention and the number of users.

If you type "games", you wont find a sponsored link from Google itself that invites you to add online games.

If you click it, you go to a new page where you can choose from 6 games. By accepting, all the games you loaded in a new tab that appears when you enter igoogle.

The only "problem" that I appreciate is the game of Pacman, a freeware game created by Paul Neave. In case you do not know the history of Pacman Neave, the comment you. The author himself had to remove this game on your page because the creator of Pacman, Namco, and demanded it. It is clear that he had violated patents and copyrights. The problem is that this game is still there, because it was freely available (the author only asked in return will send you the link) and at the end has come not only Google, but also in other places like Meristation or El País .

Update: Juan Mellado, of Inmensia, I made a comment comentándome another game that you can add what he has planned.

Sautéed controversy in the blogosphere of video games

Posted by on google , Konami , game programming

The guys are taking quite relevant Anaitgames lately. I personally do not usually follow them much, but they are there and not doing wrong. On October 17 published an article sponsored by Zync Trucoteca without warning it was a sponsored article and this has disappointed many people. Then the editor asked for forgiveness. Perfect, rectify is wise.

Then I find this to access Anait from Google:

In case you do not read well, I transcribe:

"Hello! You have just entered Anaitgames, the independent video game blog read in Castilian. We have detected that brought you here a Google search. You might want to consult one of these links "

Where I'm getting at is to make you see that there are many pages and blogs that say they are independent and not so much. They are a business, like the rest.

The article in question was sponsored by Trucoteca. What is interesting are the comments of users to the article, denouncing evil arts by Trucoteca, managed by Jesus Torres. The only experience I've had with Jesus was an email from him a few weeks ago to propose some link exchange. I agreed and I put a link, but after that the line went dead, so I decided to remove it.

And to end this monograph that summarizes the latest controversy in the blogosphere of video games, and amid Anait again, I see an article entitled "Bad Education" which tell a bad experience with Konami, I guess Monica Corbella.

I, after 4 years in this large video game websites, I've only had contact with her and was not very nice. I called to ask for 5 games for a contest and his answer was quite excessive, foolish, without much sense, somewhat surreal. I'm not going to recount the details, just that I have not talk or try to contact her. I limit myself to receive press releases and promotional give them something if they think fit.

- The article sponsored by Trucoteca in Anait.
- The article on Konami in Anaitgames.
- Recommendation: Visit X-Tray . That's where I saw the information that gave me the idea for this article.

The Google game with which you do the dirty work

Leo in the technology channel Terra Google, ready as they come, have devised a game that you can put tags to photos that are indexed in your browser. There is no algorithm that indentifique what's in a photo (at least for now), so Google has removed the sleeve a game to do it yourself, and of course, do not get hard as compensation. Good way to improve their service while not a hard left. This should be and web 4.0 or higher.

The game offers you to label the photos you show. Google will assign a partner and both are going to label the same photos. It will give you points for each tag match (obviously not at any time to know your partner and know what labels put).

Finally, if this sounds fun and want to emulate several cenutrios that hold more than eight million points, click here . You will go to Google Image Labeler, in English. Have fun ...
