Singstar Fiestazo yesterday at Pacha

Yesterday was a good party for Sinstar Singstar Abba and classical in Madrid lounge Pasha. The first thing I noticed was that only those 2 games will be promoted and put aside others like Little Big Planet or Resistance 2. Just do more parties ...

The Sony party was held at the same site as the Xbox organized on the occasion of the New Xbox Experience and comparisons are inevitable. The Sony has been more intimate, much less people, journalists, people from thrid parties, a vip and counting. The Xbox was due to strain to acetate. The Xbox was much larger and complete with comprehensive review of its entire catalog now available and coming, presentation by a big fish and draw for anyone to try all the games. It was something bigger, while Sony has been more modest, with performance of Formula V and Abba Elite to promote the 2 Singstar concerned and little else.

The curiosity of the day was that on the way to the party got by Pedro de Valdivia, just ahead of the headquarters of Sony, and I could watch an hour before the start of the party to James Armstrong, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment for southern Europe, and Maria Jesus Lopez, Director of Business and a lovely woman, trying Singstar and hip moving as best they could. Their offices are those of mirror, which is not within the day but at night when no light outside but inside have them on, you see everything ... They should lower the blinds ... :-)

The most interesting of the night was learning some details of Meristation. If your fans and those who work for free for Meri learn of some things is arming the other way. It was also great to talk again with the guys from "Insert Coin", the video game program is the best thing to do now in Spain.

What's new PlayStation 3

Sony has distributed through the agency EFE a press release in which he assured that it will invest 5 million euros in promoting the launch of PlayStation 3 console is not selling at the pace of the previous generations in other countries. In addition, Mr. Armstrong, CEO of Sony in Spain, 600,000 PS3 expects to place in the twelve months following the launch (the first few months will only be available the most expensive version, 600 euros, with 60 GB hard drive).

I personally EUR 5 million does not seem a huge investment, but it certainly will give them visibility as water is coming May. I think it will go to TV ads for several of his famous semi-surreal and, this time it will raise its game to promote itself online.

I hope you do better in Spain than in other countries, where the Wii is selling better. In fact, Electronic Arts has announced its dissatisfaction with the sales of their PS3 games and has shown more support with their games to the Wii and Nintendo DS. Apparently the games launch on Xbox 360 sold twice what they sold for PS3. Sony is finally putting as many consoles as they thought.

Finally, rumors out there that Sony is saved several aces up its sleeve. Can you imagine they drew a handheld open source? Is it so outlandish?

- The mark of Sony in five days .
- Discontent of Electronic Arts with its sales of PS3.
