Dead Space finish

I've finally finished Dead Space on PS3 and now I've decided to start the Prince of Persia, which I hope will soon end as soon start with the new Batman, which, it seems, is a marvel. Wanted to say a few brief strokes of Dead Space, but very brief, I am still on vacation:
- Vale each costing 19.95 euros.
- Great atmosphere, but decreases as the game progresses.
- The script is good, but can give more of themselves. The end is cool. We'll see what lies ahead for the second delivery insurance are already doing.
- Handsome the issue of fighting in zero gravity.
- Weapons and enemies are not bad. As always, more variety would have been nice.
- Among the bad feature that gets a bit repetitive, but little else. It's a great game.

Why not throw anything decent at the gates of the holidays?

I can think of these days that there is nothing in the latest releases that motivates me and so I'm looking in the trunk of memories of the best games for the holidays to play something decent. Specifically, although placed at the head I'm playing Call of Juarez 2, in fact I am giving to Dead Space and I think soon I'll get to the last Prince of Persia.

I talk to more people and they all agree: There is nothing decent to put in their console with a few exceptions, such as Wii Sports Resort if you like this kind of games, and Fight Night Round 4.

Dead Space: So good that EA does not seem

Why not get anything remarkable at the gates of the holidays? It is clear that many more Christmas gifts are made, sold about 70% of the year, but in July we received the extra time we have all the world to enjoy the intensive day and holidays with a laptop.

I do not mean to fall a shower of big games before the summer, but I do think that given the drought of good pitches, at least one or two could take the upper hand, take advantage of the gap. Then focus all at the end of November and we have no money to buy even half of those we love.

Update: Just after writing this article, I read that the president of EA, Riccitiello says that made the mistake of grouping "too many pitches in the third quarter (October-December)." "Really, we have designed a plan to take advantage of the fact that the year has twelve months. We think we can do better spreading the launch of our key titles. " ( The rest of Riccitiello's statements )

Gamestation lands in Spain

The well-known British retailer Gamestation coming into our country. Next Monday will open its first store in Spain, in Madrid's commercial center of La Dehesa, in Alcala de Henares. It seems that encourages competition, which is always good news.

gamestation

With the success of last year and a market share of around 9% in UK, Gamestation coming into our country with two clear signs of identity: good customer service and are themselves "gamers" who sell games to other players . The services we provide are the classics: Sale, rental, reservation of news and membership card. Nothing new noteworthy in this regard.

At the moment I can not find your Spanish website, but in English there are some attractive offers to change:

  • House of the Dead Overkill: 22.99 pounds (24.7 euros).
  • Tomb Raider: Underworld: 19.99 pounds (21.5 euros).
  • Prince of Persia: 26.99 pounds (29 euros).

The solution to the crisis in the retailer internationalization seems to be, but the Spanish market is fairly cornered by the Game center and to a lesser extent, Gamestop stores. Either way is good news since their prices are very competitive.

As a curiosity, commenting that now has the two largest video game stores in Europe, located in Birmingham and Hull.

My favorite study

The other day I thought what development studies most talented, those who have earned fame with every game and still maintain that over the years, something that is not easy, and seeking common denominators among them. Except Ubisoft Montreal, which is the business, none of ellostiene a load of games a year, but take your time to make their games and few have surrendered to the charms of Wii. This is my top:

1. Bethesda for Oblivion and Fallout series. Ten.
2. Starbreeze their bestial Riddick Xbox game and the sequel being prepared.
3. Ubisoft Studio Montrea l, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Far Cry and Assassin's Creed and many others. The Canadian study is the soul of Ubisoft.
4. Bioware for Star Wars KOTOR, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights ... Hopefully your purchase by EA does not mean its demise.
5. Valve, for everything. Gabe Newell and his boys are legendary.
6. Team Ico for innovation and originality Shadow of the Colossus and the game prepared, of which they know next to nothing, but already in the top of my preferences.
7. Rockstar. Take Two's soul by his irreverence, humor and performing decidedly adult games. GTA IV has returned to sell like hotcakes. Great.

Incluiríais sure any more to the list ;-)

Update: By popular demand also feature SEGA AM2 Blizzard. I refuse to include ID after what little I liked Doom III and LucasArts after The Force Unleashed and Fracture :-)
