Eidos and Atari Europe go to a better life

I say go to a better life because not disappear, but because they are integrated into a larger structure, the Square Enix Eidos in the case, and that of Namco Bandai Atari in Europe.

atari-eidos

RIP

Atari disappears again as brand new. Namco Bandai now called Partners after Namco Bandai has completed the acquisition of Atari's distribution operations in PAL territories around the world, leaving out the United States and Japan. In Spain now have to talk about Namco Bandaii Partners, a company that will market in our country RidgeRacer, Tekken, Soulcalibur, Dragon Ball and Naruto, among others.

As for Eidos, Square Enix is now called Europe and published the famous role-playing, among others, in Europe under the leadership of former CEO of Eidos. Let's see if we have a Final Fantasy Croft soon! They did not want to give it another go to Lara?

All these changes will mean further redundancies and restructuring in an industry that is gradually being affected by the economic situation inevitably.

First Impressions of Kingdom Under Fire: Circle Doom

Do anything that I have received the Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom and as you have not a role-playing game I decided to give it a try. I have found a special Ninety-Nine Nights Dynasty Warriors mixed with some new ideas. The game system is to give the button like crazy until there is not one, not a game to be filled or strategist. This is to mount the most powerful weapon you can, if you have level to use it, and pounding the button. I do not know why, but these games hooked me.

As for the gameplay, you can assign weapons you want two of the buttons on the pad. The smart thing is to mount a sword or similar and the other button a weapon as a ninja star or something. The jump itself does not exist, but to give is unleashing a new attack. There is a blue bar at the interface is what allows you to attack. Each attack consumes the bar, which is automatically retrieved when you rest, so there will be times when if you mount a gun that you consume too many points, you can run out of options to a large group.

In the midst of a venture there are points where you get an idol, which may be of love, lust and death. You can trade them and sell what is left you synthesize two items and also to make them more powerful. In the area where the idol appears you also sleep and appear in dreams in a parallel dimension in which you will communicate with your dead father. The father of the character (I have chosen the vampire) will teach you special techniques if you get certain objectives in combat. These techniques may be new forms of attack, healing, etc..

In the game you have to follow a marked path and go defeating the enemies that come your way. It's a game Dynasty Warriors less open in this regard. The pity is that graph is not equal to, for example, Ninety-Nine Nights, although it does offer more options typically "roleras" as change weapons or costumes. The story is less epic than also N3, is intriguing, but it might take more cinematic at the beginning, which should be one of the climax of the game near the end.

One of its virtues seem to be offering many hours of play. Yesterday I spent the whole afternoon, many hours, and just happened to me the first zone. I have encountered a final enemy 4 heads fairly easy to remove.

In short, there is the great role-playing game Final Fantasy overshadowing and the like, but it is entertaining as long as you do not mind the gameplay of pounding the button until you fall all.

Age of Conan and have 100,000 beta testers

Posted by on Role , video games

From what I read in various media and broadcast just what Funcom and Eidos, the massively multiplayer online game "Age of Conan" is booming. More than 100,000 people are already subscribed to the "beta test" of the game ... An impressive figure that surely will leave the game without problems or "bugs".

'Age of Conan is one of the most anticipated PC games of 2007, scheduled for launch on October 30, 2007. The game has been awarded the prize for best "Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO)" by various publications such as IGN, GameSpot, GameSpy, Yahoo (dot-com will be, because in Spain there) and Juegaenred.

My analysis of Crackdown (Xbox 360)

Posted by in Action , GTA , Role , videogame , Xbox 360

Until I started playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was quite busy with Crackdown. The game came with the band to be a new Grand Theft Auto next generation and so it started with a vengeance. That is also the key to access the multiplayer beta of Halo 3 (Today the beta is still not available on Xbox Live) was another plus of the game.

The game is fun from the first minute of play. You start at the headquarters of the agency (police are a genetically modified future) in a police car and just go out on your first shooting participate. Aid in the game, with insightful comments, does not waste time with tutorials and play without missing a beat.

The setting is a large island, with the agency in the middle, divided into 3 smaller islands. At first you only have an island and you have to go unlocked by completing missions so that you weaken the head teacher. Then there are cars on the street rivals so you can force a shootout at any time. In addition to improving your skills with weapons, you must also make runs to lead better, get more grenades skills and ability to jump. Every time we jump higher and so we can jump between buildings. Realism is not the strong point of the game, but this is pretty funny.

The graphics are not realistic in the style of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, but not necessary. With these graphs, the game moves perfectly. The vehicles also have a personality, ie, each driving a different way and be careful with them because civilians can run over the Agency decides to hunt us down to us.

The script is not very realistic nor very worked. Do not give many details but do not expect a script type Half Life, but an excuse to hit shots in a futuristic world dominated by mafias.

The game in general, as I say, it's fun. Sounds good note 7 out of 10 I've seen in several pages. The biggest mistake of the game is the lack of variety in missions, which are always shooting in a given scenario. No car missions outside of racing, or air missions, or sea. When you reach a good level trigger is easy to hit from afar and without exposing yourself to the enemy.

One of the things I liked is racing across the rooftops where you grab orbs that enhance your ability to jump. Then there are other secret orbs that enhance your skills.

At this point, the conclusion is that it is a good start for a series, but still needs improvement. The gameplay and fun of Grand Theft Auto hooked more.

I'm still waiting for access to the beta of Halo 3, which can be downloaded from the Internet and can only be started from the Crackdown menu. The wait is making me endless.

The cooperative multiplayer mode is highly recommended. Do not fail to try.

World of Warcraft is unstoppable

Vivendi has sent a press release which claimed to have sold 3.5 million copies of his expación Burning Crusade World of Warcraft since leaving last January around the world. Now the number of players rises to 8.5 million worldwide.

The other day I posted that I hated the computer is falling as much as gaming platform, but when you consider Second Life, World of Warcraft, online games, casual games ... long platform is more successful! Long live the PC!

The launch of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XII will occur within 2 days, on 23 February. This Final Fantasy and God of War 2 will be the two bombings last great PlayStation 2 before it starts dying after more than 5 years as a dominant console of the previous generation. We still have to wait for something to enjoy God of War 2, but for Final Fantasy there are only 2 days. To make the wait a little longer then you will leave the trailer entertaining subtitled in Spanish.

Also I leave the Final Fantasy VII: Dirge or Cerberus. He has not had very good reviews, but it's still Final Fantasy:
