Obama or Clinton: Whoever wins, the game lost

Posted by in GTA , grants , videogames

The situation is quite worrying. After 2 legislatures of Bush will go down in history as a puppet president and harmful not only for your country but to the history of mankind, it is quite certain that the new president of the United States will be Democratic (Bush is a Republican in the U.S. two-party system). The two Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been very against video games, so with any of them is new and advanced form of entertainment is going to lose insurance.

Barak Obama

The Clinton has little sympathy, famous for its airy horns of the recent history of video games is not new. Has spent years advocating the abolition of video game Grand Theft Auto, which are a threat that encourages children "to have sex with prostitutes and then murder them." The novelty is that Obama, more than likely Democratic presidential candidate, believes that video game addiction is a symptom of a failed life. Obama says we should use less video games and television and instill in our children "a sense of excellence."

It's okay to have the house full of guns, but if a game can be violent or contains sex, rub their eyes incredulous. The urge to censor video games by Hillary are not ethical attempt to protect children, which in theory can not play Grand Theft Auto as it is for over 18 years (who them to play?) But a attempt to appear more conservative and "steal" votes in the republicanos.Por other hand, the campaign is very expensive and if sufragas, it is very likely to support your cause. In fact, the American Association Entertainment Software Association recently stated that between 50,000 and donated $ 100,000 to candidates depending on the level of defense that make video games. I think you can save money, the battle is lost because U.S. leaders continue to see gaming as an activity for children, something trivial and potentially harmful as it is a hobby.

    France will subsidize the games

Posted by on subsidies , video games

We are light years away from France for political games. While there they consider culture, here in Spain we do rather than demonizing them. Some time ago the French Medal of Honor awarded to creators of games like Miyamoto and now announced support for their industry. See if spreads by example.

The French school of video games has always been famous for its art, but also by a disastrous gameplay. The game itself was artistically impeccable, original, but who had not played them. You want examples? It comes to my mind Another World for example. Soon comes an anniversary edition of this game (you can download it free here . It is completely legal).
