I'm still fairly expectation the success or failure of Wii Motion Plus (for which you do not know, is a device that is added to the Wii Remote and Wii makes it detects movement in a much more realistic, what should be done from the beginning). I have no record of the information in Spain, but I read in 3DJuegos Nintendo has sold 600,000 units in Japan in its first week (but no mention of where they got the data).

Regardless of the truth, what I want to know is how far the games are important in introducing a new gaming device. Well, of 656,000 Wii Motion Plus (WMP) sold, 360,000 would have been placed along with Wii Sports Resort. The rest have been sold without games added.

This data would confirm the importance of games adapted to the new technology you want to sell. It is not, therefore, to launch WMP, Project Natal or Wand (which is as it seems to be called the system of motion detection PS3), but to do with video games perfectly suited to this technology, who can get all the juice and really show the novelty and innovation of the new game system.

In Spain WMP was launched on June 20 in a pack along with EA Grand Slam Tennis and also separately for 20 euros. Next July 24 will be the day that Wii Sports Resort, the successor to Wii Sports, will be released in our country. We will see how to put on the list of sales, but it looks like it will be a success, especially considering that a strong promotional campaign come from Nintendo, which considers its strongest release this year.

For the game to get to number one and stay in time will deliver a promotional campaign at launch, one on Christmas and will continue to support the product next year. It seems that this time the idea is to go to the advertising we could do with Alex Corretja than that of Nicole Kidman, ie playing more sports celebrities and fewer families on the couch and famous with forced laughter playing.
